Someone's loose dog without owner in sight in Horner Park- on clearly marked "no dogs" trail near the river.

Was walking on the nice trail near the river. After seeing women walking out at the beginning of the trail with like 5 chihuahuas, look at "no dogs " sign and ignore it - we keep walking and a random dog runs from the top of the hill area of the park , into the river almost. Then back and on the trail. It was hard to see what was rustling in the tall grass , so super creepy. No owner yelling for the dog. Nothing.

Do people in this park just act entitled and oblivious? Or do some just dont like their animals and put their dogs in harms way by having them illegally off leash?

I dont think I've seen that before.

United from OHare domestic flight

I have not flown United or out of Ohare in maybe a decade. So wanted to ask some pointers. Usually I fly out of Midway.

Im flying out early afternoon Friday, domestic, short flight. I have no status with anything and bought cheapest economy. I'll have a backpack to store under seat in front of me.

Do i check in online or at the airport? How far ahead of time should I be there? How bad are non fancy TSA lines?

Are they like Frontier/spirit airlines strict on bag size? My can definitely fit under the seat in front.

Do i need to show my bag to someone at the counter or no?

Do i get my seat assigned 24 hours in advance or like right at the gate? Do I need United app or is website ok? Is my boarding pass through online or i need to have it printed out?

I've tried to look up this info and have gotten mixed info, sometimes contradicting...
