Should I tell my roommate I am filing for bankruptcy

Should I tell my roommate I am filing for bankruptcy

I live in FL, divorced single female, 0 assets liquid or otherwise, I do have an almost paid off 2020 Ford vehicle, worth less than I owe on it... Just painting the picture of what my bankruptcy is going to look like.....

I am about to file for bankruptcy on about 25-30K in CC debt, and I am wondering if somewhere along the line I am going to need to provide some kind of document "lease agreement" to show where and how I sleep at night.

The person I live with is a really cool and chill kind hearted lady who I met on roomates dot com surprisingly. She is a very responsible professional middle school reading teacher.

Should I tell her I am filing for bankruptcy?

I just fear that I will need to show some kind of rental agreement, and we dont really have one we have a "roommate agreement" and it is month to month.

My friends say no do not tell her, and I am inclined to agree outside of the fact that I worry about needing to provide a lease agreement to the court.

Thank you for your insight!

Buffing before polishing

What has been your experience with buffing the GelX tip before polish vs not buffing? I have never buffed before polish and it never chips but I guess I'm just looking for insight on experience

I am 40 years old. I have in the past year become super focused on nail art and gelx.

I kind of am considering going to nail school, and get licensed. I feel a little embarrassed though, I will be old enough to be some of those girl's mother.....

Am I too old for this?

Bankruptcy Downsides?

Hello! First time poster, to any reddit forum really.

Anyways, I wanted to know if anyone can share their personal experienced downsides to filing for bankruptcy.

From what I am seeing it seems like it's kind of a get out of jail free card and I almost wonder why more people don't do it? And if its so easy and great, why it is even a thing? No judgment, just genuinely trying to wrap my head around it all.

Anyways, I am 25k in credit card debt from foolish spending, emotional spending, a little bit of helping family, and medical debt. My monthly minimums are so high that I then have to turn around and use the credit cards just to get by.

I had never considered bankruptcy, I guess just because I had it in my mind that its a big deal, and really bad. My friend casually suggested it a few months ago, and I have since started to really consider it. Especially after a (different) friend said she did it when she was younger and it was a piece of cake.

I am aware it is more challenging to get approved for a leased apartment, and potentially to buy a house etc, but I wont be moving from where I am for at least a year probably.

Thank you for your time, this subreddit has provided lots of interesting insight for me.
