The church loves young bishops

I’m noticing a trend in my area of bishops being called at younger ages. Many are in their mid to late 30s with multiple young children, even some toddlers. The way I see it, stake and area leaders are so clearly looking for yes men who are easy to control. Why not choose the young, exhausted, father who doesn’t have the energy to push back on their agenda. And of course, the children / wife who hardly see their dad / husband anymore will be blessed for his sacrifice. Such BS.

And yes, I know they can say no to the calling, but I sympathize as someone who said yes to stupid callings for many years.
