Spotting duration after insertion?
I’m new to birth control, never been pregnant, and I got my Mirena in 11 days ago now. I decided to go with a Mirena bc I had really painful periods yada yada, doctor recommended it to me, and I’m also sexually active, so, kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
I actually got mine inserted on the first day of my period and my period ran its course but it just faded into spotting and light cramps. I feel like I’m on a very easy period now, I’ve been cramping for a couple hours throughout the day consistently everyday since then that never really goes above a 6-7/10 pain level, along with some slight bloating. I had really heavy bloating the first couple of days but it definitely decreased. Is this common recovery? Has anyone else gotten their Mirena on their period? I’m honestly just really over the constant spotting. I’m sure it’s early but does anyone with the same situation have any feedback on how their spotting/cramping lasted?
