I hope someone maybe has some advice. My exotic animal vet is closed for the holiday. So basically I have a bioactive tank and noticed my frog was too skinny even w regular feedings and got advice about putting a dish of rotten banana in so the flies accumulate instead of being hidden around the tank and him not being able to get them. It worked great! They even started breeding in the dish! Then I would see him sitting in front of it eating. Perfect.

Then he got fat, fast. One day he was still too skinny for my liking the next he was obese. I was concerned it was something else but his legs also got chunky so I was like okay, lemme cut back some. Its been a few months but then I had not seen him for a few days. Sometimes not seeing him happens because theres a lot of plants he hides in the cholla wood or whatever its called my brain is using all of its smarts for my frog. So I took my flashlight when he didnt come out for feeding and I saw him and all was well.

This morning I turned the lights on and he was lying in the back with his head down! I grabbed my gloves and picked him up and hes still alive but barely. He had some like film stuck to him by his eye so i removed it but hes pretty lifeless. He started opening and shutting his mouth like he was gasping or something so I got a flashlight and looked but he wasnt choking on anything. (Im a vet tech but im still considered new to the field) like i said my exotic vet is closed for the holiday till monday. I found a 24 hour hospital but they turned me away.

Is it too late for him? Does anyone have any advice? Thank you

So my turtle loves his pond but has no interest in coming out where we built the steps. He does however want to get out on the side with no leveredge. I cant fill the pond enough bc its on a slight slope and the water dumps out the other side so thats out. I have a plastic ramp w suction cups but the back is straight and of course the side he wants to get out is the curved part of the oval.

Does anyone have any ideas for something I can make or buy? I can re do the stairs but at this point in the season I would have to have him out for everything to dry and it would have to be totally dry to work with PLUS before I go through a whole thing I want to make sure thats actually what he wants or if hes just gonna be a jerk like he is with his stairs.

It looks like with just a bit of leverage he will come out, could I put a piece of wood there under the water and see if he uses it to hoist himself up? Any ideas would be awesome!

Ok so he LOVES his basking spot. Full ballerina feet stays forever. The thing that holds my lamp broke so I had to put it right on the screen and the little shit loves it even more!

So now with the nice weather he goes outside in his pond. We have modified this thing so many times over the winter months. He REFUSES to come out of the pond to bask in the real sun. He has a rock staircase essentially that he can one hundred percent climb on. We added a piece of wood that goes all the way Into the middle in case he felt unsafe. Nothing. He has a sun shade so nothing gets too hot. I have noticed him looking like hes trying to get out on the side with no sort of traction at all even though he absolutely cant. Unfortunately the pond has a alight tilt so I can never get the water all the way to the edge. I have coaxed him out with food and he comes out and grabs it and goes back in the water but he always does that so I cant really use that. He did eat a little out of the water and went back in.

Once, only once last year did I see him up on the rock that is the top of his staircase and is pretty much all the way out of the water but it was dusk! Which is why I made him the log to use in case hes scared.

BUT he also doesnt seem scared at all! He flies in and like has his h3ad out and looks at everything and comes over when you do. He does hide under the rocks too though, but hes sleeping so he's just cozy. I dont get it. Idk what to do. Im going to find a way to make a ledge on the side he tries to climb and see what happens but of course its the rounded edge so. We shall see. Does anyone have any tips or ideas?

Ok so I've seen this movie a million times and everytime I get confused. In the beginning one of the characters is talking about their childhood tree house and she says her husband wants to "take it down and put in a doughboy" what in the world is a doughboy? No one i asked knew and I just never found out.

Today while out with my mom she pointed at something and said "how short are those shorts?" And i immediately thought "how tall are those boots?" And once I realized the movie the dough boy mystery came back to me.

Obviously, I googled it. What it told me was that a doughboy was/is these statues of Military men people were putting up commemoratively. But looking further, these things are not tall. At all. The stupid AI thing even said like oh so her husband wanted a statue but that cannot be right!

Why would they need to knock down what looks like a well mentioned and not a falling apart eye sore to put up a tiny statue that would probably go out front anyway ?

Help me. What is she talking about?!?!
