I was hoping that this group (and maybe u/pengweather) might have some suggestions.

My group does a cleanup a couple of times per year along a few blocks of MacArthur Blvd, between Adams St. and Grand Ave.

While we haven't had much luck getting the city to pick up bulky items (there is always furniture and mattresses, etc.), we try to collect everything that fits in a trash bag and just add it to our trash each time.

The big issue, though, is that the fence between MacArthur and the 580 is completely overgrown, so much so that the trees and plants on the 580 side of the fence have grown through the fence, cover the sidewalk, and encroach in places on the street itself. This also seems to invite more trash, since you can just toss everything into the plants covering the sidewalk. (And it makes parking difficult for residents, since there are spaces where you can't park without getting your car scraped by trees.)

We've tried showing up with some residential-level pruning tools, but it is way beyond what those can handle.

Does anyone have any ideas on who we can contact to get all those plants/trees/weeds/etc. cut back so that the sidewalk is actually clear and passable for everyone?

Sorry to ask a ridiculous question . . .

My son received a glass mezuzah for his bar mitzvah, and I have absolutely no idea how to hang it. I'm used to the ones that have pre-set nail holes or other obvious attachment methods. This has nothing.

The gifter bought it from an artist, but I've had no luck get her to provide any information about where she bought it.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

UPDATE: Thank you for all the suggestions!

I'm really avoiding all adhesive options because the irregularly shaped rear surface (no flat areas at all!) just doesn't seem to lend itself to adhesive. And the woodworking ideas are good if I had ANY such skills. But I have a friend who likes to 3D print, so I sent the pictures to him, and we'll see what brilliant ideas he can come up with. Thanks to u/NYSenseOfHumor for that idea.

Thank you all!
