i think everyone in this sub has come to the conclusion hxg is insufferably obvious for shoving daniela so clearly into our faces as a replacement for manon since her hiatus begun, whether it’s as centre or visual or whatever. everything from the way she’s receiving what seems like more lines than the vocalists of the group to spending almost every photoshoot in the centre makes it clear hxg envisions her as something to make up for manons absence in the group (which is funny because what talent are we missing out on here.. no shade)

but i think hybe did this for an extremely specific reason. we all know one of the main reasons hybe has said absolutely nothing about manons extended hiatus except for the announcement which was already contradictory to what manon herself said for such a long time is because they’re very aware that people are going to continue talking about this no matter what. any time katseye does anything, people in the comments will always bring up manon, like in their coachella performance people whined about this being her dream in the comment section of videos as well as every time manon does anything katseye is brought up, both of which brings more attention to the group. the reason why they’ve chose dani as her replacement is because they know she can stir up the most drama within the group. even before manons hiatus, when she made the comment that sophia is a good liar it went viral and got many people talking to about their group, or now the clips of her throwing the pen or saying she’d fight a girl who wants her man; hxg clearly understand this is the girl who cannot help but enjoy the spotlight and will say things that get the people talking about the group and they don’t care at all that it’s in a negative light because they show time and time again they will not only do anything for money but also that they don’t care about their idols.

another factor for this is there has been so much comparison between manon and dani from day one. hxg is just profiting off of this by styling dani into a carbon copy of manon as well as in the pinky up video specifically choosing to put dani in the parts manon was once in and putting her in the car trunk everyone thought manon would come out of

tldr hybe knows what they’re doing putting dani as a sort of manon replacement

i’ve seen a lot of posts in this sub abt laras harsh makeup not suiting her and i agree lol but do you guys think this makeup suits her better? (ngl i can’t tell if it’s just no makeup or softer makeup because i feel like all the beauty filters are messing up my understanding of that stuff but im like 90% sure she has makeup)
