The thing that confuses me the most is why they haven't continued to make songs like Gabriela. Yeah Gnarly was viral, but Gabriela was 1) a hit 2) genuinely liked by people and not out of irony 3) GOT NOMINATED FOR A GRAMMY.

Let me be clear: I like the song, I'm not a fan, but it was the one song I genuinely liked and did seem to get more positive attention from the gp than their first era (which seemed to whelm people).

Like sure, continue to put out your """"ironic"""" brainrot music bc it made you viral, but why have their singles since then been reheating Gnarly? Why did they abandon the Gabriela arc? And WHY didn't they perform it at the Grammys??

Again, not a super-fan of them or the song, but did like it and am very confused abt this.

Can you imagine Sophia having same success as Olivia if Katseye ever disbanded...
I personally thought nope, she didn't have this IT factor if she ever redebuted.

Because why tf are they always trying to embarrass her? I was in the kpop fandom, so I’m kind of used to hardcore delusional fans and glazers but istg this shit is on another level. I have seen some opinions online claiming she’s in the top 3 for singing, dancing, and stage presence in katseye. I found it rather questionable but I’m glad it makes the fandom happy. But when these people started claiming she’s the beyonce of the group (not in a joking manner), I was flabbergasted. WHY ARE THEY SETTING HER UP FOR FAILURE LIKE THAT? Her fans themselves set these unrealistic expectations for her and then she obviously cannot live up to that and gets hate for underperforming. If they all just stfu she would genuinely be less hated that she is now

I thought they said the group is going to flop without her😂..not them selling out all their tickets. And no I’m not glazing the group I just find it hilarious they found out the hard way that eyelids don’t like that girl and probably happy she’s no longer in the group.
Also there’s no way 300k people were queue for some dumbass tickets, has to be bots or just same people logging in multiple times or ticket master faking numbers to spike prices and demand

I try to lurk around several katseye subs just to keep an overall balanced opinion, here for that nuance. This subreddit discusses a lot of stuff that the others don't, which led me to hear about many more speculations and opinions than I knew of.

I'm genuinely curious, if you absolutely had to stan one member, who would you pick and why?

I read almost everywhere that Yoonchae might come across as a "safe" option. I also saw in discussions that people pity Daniela for who she ended up dating, her dad's comments, stuff that's out of her control etc which makes me feel some sympathy for her. I had no idea there were mean girl narratives of Sophia before coming here, that's been interesting to read.

Guys this is actually so irrelevant but I need to know if anyone else thinks this. I always see people saying Manon absolutely destroyed the Buttons performance on DA but I genuinely could not stop thinking about how stiff, expressionless, and monotone she seemed the entire time. Like yes, she’s insanely pretty. But performance-wise… I really did not think it was that good for her.

pinky up is worse than gnarly and even internet girl at this point. At least with gnarly there was some variety in the structure of the song, with pinky up you’re just waiting for the song to finish. it’s so predictable in the most brain rotting and rage baity way possible and theyre just gonna carry on this way it seems

So, I was like obsessed with katseye during SIS, I got their album, merch etc, I loved the music, vibe and aesthetic and I was like ooh this is good. Then beautiful chaos came in, I still liked katseye and I was pumped, the music was acc good, imo not as good as SIS but still enjoyable, maybe the reason for me cutting points with how overplayed it was especially gnarly and Gabriela, I acc liked Gabriela a lot but then, it just started to get annoying to listen too yk what I mean. M.I.A and Gameboy were decent and I could listen to them once in a while and enjoy it, but like I had a hit and miss relationship with mean girls, sometimes it just didn't sit well with me but sometimes it was running through my head all day. Gnarly, was a vibe if I went to parties, but it got so overused that I hated listening to it in my everyday. I absolutely despised monster high though, idk even though it was a promotional song I found it really cringy and wierd. But now things have changed... music quality has gone down, the girls are half naked most of the time, the main vocalists barely get any lines, its all become chore over actually singing, except my way but that's like the only song. The eyekons have become toxic, and I after seeing what's going on in those MIA performances, like even earlier I was unsure whether to leave or not, but I was like Imma give them another chance. The members, idk if I like them anymore except Sophia and maybe yoonchae but idk honestly, I think im going to leave bc I dont think its right to stay in the fandom if I dont like all the members, what do y'all say?

I’m not too sure how this is going to go but I just want to say that I want to give my opinion and a different perspective. I have been seen some post here about Lara’s outfits, her being insecure etc. what mostly gained my attention is people talking about her sexualising herself through her outfits.
And her constantly wearing revealing clothing. Yes I agree that maybe the cunty” look she is going is not the best for her. BUT I want to remind ppl that modesty, revealing clothes etc are all a part of social construct.and under the patriarchy it’s very harmful towards women. And people are lwk enforcing it here. Assuming that she was insecure and got bullied as well that’s why is dressing the way she is also very harmful. And it has me questioning like what would make her more palatable? Iara aside it is important to be careful about how we comment on women’s body’s without being misogynistic and enforcing patriarchal values and stereotypes of women in a way. Yes we can critique her style choice and I actually think a more softer look is better.
