Fraud companies

There is a company called Ethara AI that reportedly hired hundreds of employees and made them work 8-hour night shifts. After one month, they conducted an assessment, and those who failed were terminated. Surprisingly, even some employees who scored 80/80 were also terminated.

While companies may have the right to terminate employees under certain conditions, employees should at least be compensated for the work they have already completed. Are there any legal proceedings or labor laws that address situations like this?
