Visiting some friends and family and popped over to their Dollar Tree to see if I could finally find Essie and I did! I feel like my application is slowly becoming less messy, so it felt like a treat to use a "nicer" nail polish than I'm used to. I used Dollar Tree's CV brand base coat, Essie Meet Me at Midnight, and the red Sally Hansen QDTC bottle.

Tried something new with a brown/wine tone polish. I used Color Vibe base coat x1, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Macaroon x3, another coat of my base coat, Sally Hansen QDTC red x1.

There's a bit of shrinkage and I whacked my thumb really hard on something & cracked the polish, but this manicure has been a dream to wear. I didn't have high expectations for this color, but it honestly eats.

Every time I try to do my nails without this damn shimmer, my brain worms tell me to use it just one more time. Can you blame me??? Love the way this combo turned out. They've gotten pretty banged up since I applied it yesterday, but they're holding on pretty well all things considered. (Also~ Hello to any fellow clubbed thumb havers!)
