Best way to use Gamesir G7 Pro 8K?

I just got a G7 8K and I found that I can use at least 3 different modes for gyro, and I don't know which one is best. The first is Green mode (Xinput + Gamesir Connect). The second is Blue mode (or DS4 mode), and the third is Yellow mode (hold Home + A) with steam input.

I found that Yellow mode seems to be the best for steam input, because it allows steam input to fully recognize the extra buttons, But I have no idea how to measure the gyro polling rate.

Blue mode (DS4) has the limitation of not being able to bind the extra buttons to whatever I want, and Green mode has the limitation of not being able to use Steam Input (or any gyro software other than gamesir reconnect)

The Splatoon feature that doesn't exist anywhere else

I was playing with Splatoon on the emulator and I noticed that the game has a very intelligent approach for calculating the vertical angle (pitch) of the character in-game. If you turn-off the motion sensor on your controller (that's only possible in the emulator), then increase the pitch angle of your controller, then turn the motion sensor back on, the game will slowly increase the in-game pitch angle, even though your gyro isn't moving.

What happens is that Splatoon uses a complementary filter to combine the short-term precision of the gyroscope to measure the angle velocity, with the long-term precision of the accelerometer to measure the pitch angle. This way, it's possible for you to reset the pitch angle once and never worry about it again, since the accelerometer will always be used to remove any long-term errors of the gyro.

I wish Steam Input or JoyShockMapper tried to implement this.

Vader 5 and Steam Input

Whenever I turn on the Vader 5, steam doesn’t recognize it, so I need to go to Flydigi Space Station and turn "allow third party software" off and on again so steam input recognizes it. Is there a way to make steam input reliably recognize the controller?

Can't use gyro2mouse on Marvel Rivals

I used to play Marvel Rivals using the configs by fickstick videos (aka ivanim). But recently, it stopped working on Windows. I tried the Dualsense and the Vader 5 Pro, and neither worked. Did they update the anti-cheat?

Neither keyboard or mouse inputs from steam input are working, only controller (although I find that gyro2stick works surprisingly well).

Can anyone tell me if they're having the same problem on Windows?

If you have a Vader 4 or Vader 5, you MUST READ THIS

TLDR: Use NS mode and connect it with cable for better gyro performance

The Flydigi Vader 4 Pro and Vader 5 Pro are great controllers. The Vader 4 has an OK gyro sensor, and the Vader 5 has a great one (comparable to the Sony DualSense). But they both have a major firmware-side problem that can be easily fixed by using the controller in NS (Nintendo Switch) mode.

On the Vader 4 Pro, the firmware creates a deadzone on the gyroscope that makes it sluggish and difficult to use for precise movements. The Vader 5 is even worse. Despite having a great motion sensor, it has a forced auto-calibration feature that triggers during gameplay, causing heavy drift and ruining your aim.

A comment from u/MamWyjebaneJajca told me that the Vader 4 has a better gyro when connected wired to a PC using NS mode (instead of the wired mode that Flydigi recommends). And to my surprise, it works! Using NS mode on the Vader 4 completely removes this annoying deadzone and makes gyro aiming much better.

So I decided to test the same thing on the Vader 5, hoping it would get rid of that annoying auto-calibration that causes so much drift. And guess what? IT WORKS TOO!

No more deadzone on the Vader 4, and no more drifting on the Vader 5.
