We are a group of 5 people. All met each other on reddit. We are planning to go to Piranmalai during a weekend (either this one or the next one).

I'm from Thanjavur, two are from Trichy and two are from Chennai. This is our group. You can join our WhatsApp group if you want. Else, we can communicate on reddit itself (for those who don't want to share phone numbers).

We went to the same spot previously. It was a bit tough, but definitely possible to finish the climb. All of us had zero trekking experience before that.

We want to go again soon, because there are rumours that govt might restrict travel (like a soft lockdown).

Piranmalai is in Sivaganga district. You need to manage your own transport. We might be able to accommodate one or two, but we can't guarantee transport (really depends on how many join us on this trip).

So, preferably, try to arrange your own transport.

Coming to the topic in hand, the plot shows the percentage of debt to GSDP. That shows the health of the state's finances.

You can see how the debt was controlled very well during Stalin's rule. The debt grew, but the GSDP grew much faster.

Let's go back even further in our state's history.

2006-07 Karunanidhi became the chief minister. Debt to GSDP was 23.9%.
2011-12 Jayalalithaa became the chief minster. Debt to GSDP was 17.4%.
By the end of EPS's rule, it became 28.8%. This was due to the mismanagement after Jayalalithaa died.
By the end of Stalin's period, it's 26.4%.

Whether it's ADMK or DMK, when we didn't have good leader, the debt to GSDP increased above 25%.

Do you guys think Vijay knows how to attract investments and industries? Is he wise enough to know what investments will increase GSDP and what will have a minimal effect? Apart from Sengottaiyan (ex-ADMK), do they have very experienced MLAs there?
