Best time to ride in this heat

When do you all prefer to ride?

I'm thinking of experimenting an uncomfortable time from 4am to 6am. You know, early mornings don't have a weather.

Ps I'm a working class. Unusual timing. Evening is not free for me.

Comparing clients' personas: Job poster, Inviter, Direct message-r

Why do clients tend to post jobs versus message directly?

Are the job post-ers confused within their projects' scope/budget/talent...?

Are the ones reaching through direct message sure of their requirements more than the first category?

Do they post rather searching through talent, because they're a hired recruiter/middlemen sort?

Hoping to get insights so to apply while writing proposals.

LMK your thoughts!

Upwork's Project Catalogs, do they convert for you?

Does it work for any of you? these project catalogs? If so, what are the closing rate directly placing offer on the catalog versus them dropping a custom offer after viewing the catalog?

Do you spend time regularly managing, updating them?

In my observation, its very much not like how the gigs convert on Fiverr.

Here's mine:

Ever since our proposals got a dead response rate, we reduced sending em to upto 1 every day or two, andve been experimenting with boosting and stuff. Dont wanna read the stats dump? skip to last part for a gist.

On my profile ($22 -> $8 -> $14/hr):

We increased my profile's boost from the min of 43 connects for our niche, to upto 95 connects per click over the course of two weeks.

- Didnt get any invitations at first, but as ive kept it constant at 95, ive been having 1 invite per day in this week. But they are excruciatingly non-responsive, new/cheap accounts

- around 388 impressions with only 9 clicks (max 5 set for day, about 1 daily) in this week, similar with the past one.

- Direct messages have long been cut off for about a year, ever since upworks changed the connects/boosting game to be painful.

On her profile ($8 -> $6):

We keep sending proposals for about 12-15 per week (keep in mind: we did use to send em on my profile: about 20-25 per week, no response, not much good stats).

- Boost is set to 60/click connects constant (42 min per click). Invite comes about every 4th day, with good relevant clients.

- About half the impressions than mine's with double the clicks, max 3 per day set (3 come every day).

- Direct messages about every day. Profile is on first-2nd pages as searched through our niche relevant keyword, seen from my profile.

- Profile views also more than mine.

I mean how come does upwork not let my experienced profile be accessed to direct message and invites from credible clients, and boost this relatively new one with low rates, activity and income. An easy answer would be that upworks favoring new talent, but see the struggles and grapples on my profile... vein.

I know its still a lot missing to judge and infer from this comparison, I'd really appreciate any sort of insights from you geeks 🙌. Thanks!

Peace Peace
