I’m embarrassed to have to ask this, but I just bought my first Acura (a 2026 MDX Advance) and took it through Mister Car Wash for the first time. I’m pretty sure I did something wrong going in, because I pressed the brake and pressed the N button once, and then when the car wash’s conveyor belt started moving, my sensors started beeping like crazy and the car kept trying to brake itself. I also tried to get out at the end of the car wash by pressing the brake and the D/S button, but it wouldn’t shift out of neutral and kept telling me to use the paddles. I kept holding the brake and pressing D/S, and eventually that worked.

What am I doing wrong? Is there any way to take these cars through the car wash?

(Please be kind—I’ve exclusively driven low-tech, 1990s/early 2000s Toyotas and Kias until now, and this is my first vehicle with all of these technology features.)

I’ve been on the hunt for black nappa Pigalle 100s (so sad they’re being discontinued 😢) or black nappa Kate 100s for months—I don’t have a store near me, so I’m primarily looking online. Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Bergdorf, and the Louboutin website all either don’t have them, or only have limited sizes available.

I’ve never gotten a pair on the resale market, but it seems like that may be the only way to get them at this point. Does anyone have recommendations for the best places to buy verified resale? I looked into and checked The Real Real, but they don’t have anything in my size (7). Any and all leads are so appreciated! 🙏🏼 (Or if anyone’s seen them in store lately—I’ll travel for them at this point.)

Hi everyone! I posted a couple testing process questions a few weeks ago, and everyone was so helpful (thank you so much). I had my follow-up with my doctor today and officially got diagnosed with Type 1 Narcolepsy, which is both super validating and a little overwhelming.

They’re starting me on modafinil—would anyone be willing to share their experiences with it? Before getting diagnosed and up until now, I was on 30 MG IR Adderall daily (split between morning and afternoon), and have been doing that for 2-3 years. I’ve found that it’s good for staying awake short-term (e.g., if I need to drive or something) but not great at keeping me awake during the full day. I nap through it pretty regularly.

We’re stopping the Adderall for now and switching it out for modafinil, and then I have a follow-up in a week to evaluate how it’s going. My sleep medicine doctor said the modafinil will likely not be enough for me, based on my symptoms, but my insurance requires it before moving onto anything else.

This is all pretty new to me (I’ve had symptoms for at least 15 years but have only been diagnosed for about 3 hours), so was just wondering if anyone would be willing to share their experiences on what to expect with the medications, side effects, trajectories after the initial trial, etc.

I’ll also take any advice anyone is willing to share—I don’t know anyone else with narcolepsy! Thank you in advance.
