Okay, now this is getting out of hand.
I didn’t check on the bench oyster for a few days and now it has almost tripled in size! I’m sure this is normal for oysters but color me surprised.

I wouldn’t eat it but is it edible? Thinking I should get rid of the bench now.
Last week I asked this sub if it was worth it to buy a 2006 players grade R9. Last night I went to my neighbor’s place and finalized the deal!
He was super cool and let me check under the truss rod cover and control backplate. The truss rod is untouched and the neck has just a smidge of relief and no dead notes. Action is low. Bumblebee caps too (I must have misunderstood the trogly vid I referenced in the last post)!
Neck is just the right amount of chunky. Definitely not a baseball bat but noticeably thicker than my 60s standard.
EDIT: I LOVE IT!
