My first time using the app I shaved five minutes off my time

This year I have made significant lifestyle changes after being obese and inactive for a long time. I’m a 25 F and a few months ago I started walking at least 10,000 steps every day.

I have mostly been fast walking, and couldn’t really reach below a 20 minute mile (SOMETIMES 19 minutes if I felt like I was pushing myself 😅).

I downloaded the Nike Run Club app last night because I still had thousands of steps to go before I reached my goal, and thought “yeah, I could use a little motivation”.
Y’ALL. I RAN A 14 MINUTE MILE.

I know this isn’t still a great mile time by any means, but I’m so proud of myself. I think I was too in my head before, and also it was incredibly helpful to see my pace while running. I actually *ran*. And I felt incredible after.

We can only go up from here 🤞🏼I’m losing weight in a healthy way, getting faster, eating better, and all around feeling better. I’m excited to see how fast I can really go.
