Basically the Pink fight

Sorry if the video’s bad, this is my first time using CapCut for one of these lol. Also sorry about this being a BTBS post but I’ve seen a few around so I’m not sure if they’re entirely outlawed + this has way more effort than a screenshot post (might’ve misread tho)

this is a recreation of how i felt fighting Pink for the first time in the battle simulator, she was easy as hell bruh

flowery is my goat and the roaring knight is a bum

Ranking Call Cards

Let me explain my rankings for each one:

1st. Jerry

Jerry (the tierlist I used didn’t have Jerry on it just pretend he’s there)

2nd. Calypso

The Call card I use when I play on normal mode on my main save. The main problem with a few call cards is how they die pretty quickly despite their high DPS, but since Calypso is a tank, she meat shields the damage, heals it up, and has some of the highest DPS with Painted, too. A good choice for high damage single target bosses, and the call card I used for my 100 Finns.

3rd. Griefer

The absolute GOAT for my hellmode and hard mode runs. Turns my 4x damage taken into 2x. Also has incredibly high damage output with Painted similar to Calypso, and can be used in Chapter 5 while Calypso can’t. This was a close tie between 2nd and 3rd but Protect is kinda useless when I play normal mode, so Calypso is more worth it for the self sustainability.

4th. Cassie

Now, I know some people might be mad with this rank. Cassie is one of the best supporting cards in the game right now. However, people like certain cards more depending on their needs, and I don’t need a support to heal me (and her heals are kinda bad for hellmode, too), and her attacks, while good, are out DPS’d by 2nd and 3rd when Painted is applied for all. However, she’s still a decent all rounder and is the best choice for the Trinity Council pit battle.

5th. Blackrock King

He’s good, but kind of bad later on. His Scepter Smack doesn’t have Pierce defense, and his Scepter Strike isn’t that good (on par / better than Cassie’s fireball, but Cassie has support and better attacks)

6th. Red n’ Blue

Red and Blue have the HIGHEST DPS with painted, doing 21 damage in 3 turns while both Calypso and Griefer do 14 over 3 turns. However they’re a glass cannon with their low HP, so if you’re fighting a high damage boss they’re certain to be gone after a few turns, and you’ll need to waste a turn to call in another summon instead of attacking. Possibly tied with 5th.

7th. Gorilla

Okay, now this might sound bad. I know there’s Call: Gorilla glazers out there, but I don’t see the appeal. The Gorilla is really only good for meat shielding, since his low DPS and HP make him a viable summon only for the chapter you get him in (Chapter 2), and even then i just defeated the Blackrock King for his card instead. Only viable on Hell/Hard mode runs where you need a quick and resummonable meat shield.

To finish this off, I’d like to restate what I said before: Certain people will like certain call cards more because of their playstyle and needs. There is no 100% accurate card tier list because everyone will have different opinions.

Killing Cassie (but efficiently)

Sorry to all the Cassie lovers out there, this wasn’t because of my dislike for Cassie it was because some guy took four whole minutes to kill Cassie and I found it irritating how long they took.

I was ORIGINALLY going to do my signature Mega Rush, Ante Up, Aggressor, Knight, and Power Shot, but Cassie only took 6 damage (since Windforce Cassie has halved damage)

But then I remembered halved damage doesn’t apply to normal Slingshot (since it’s technically just 1 damage repeatedly).

The guy before me had insane stats but I wanted to prove a point so I’m level 3 (needed BP for ATK up cards, being knight and aggressor)

I present to you: Itemless No-hit Cassie at Level 3 for 1:38

Yall think I overreacted? 🤔

For context, this is me beating Hatred on hell mode. I was on a discord call with some friends, and this fight took like two hours lmao.

also kind of voice reveal lolol

Totally unrelated, but would anyone have any tips for beating The Ancients on hell mode? I may or may not be getting absolutely murdered by them.

Is it cheating on a Hellmode run if you beat a superboss without Hellmode?

Hello all. Short post because it’s just a question. I’ll probably delete it after it gets answered since this might qualify as low quality, who knows.

The question’s in the title, here’s the context:
I started a Hellmode run, because even after doing hard mode I realized I haven’t done Hellmode yet. So I beat Chapter 1 and thought “man, I should get the Cruel King card!”

So then, I beat the Blackrock King WITHOUT the hard mode cards, since I figured beating the Blackrock king on Hellmode with my current stats was impossible (you know, since I am fresh out of chapter 1), and used his card throughout chapter 2. It’s now, in Chapter 3 that I realize “hey, I probably just cheated my run on accident”.

I’ll ask it again: Is it cheating on a Hellmode run if you beat a superboss without Hellmode and use the card it gives you? I was gonna do the same for Finn and the Mutant but now I’m wondering.

Hot(?) take: The Frostmaw battle sucks

Yes, I know. The millionth post calling Chapter 5 bad (it is). But hear me out here.

The main point of the Frostmaw battle is that Cassie is the damage dealer and you have to support her unlike previously in the chapter. It’s a good concept, but was executed horribly, since beating the fight by brute forcing it (what you’re NOT supposed to do) is faster than the intended way of supporting her

I was really hoping the fight would finally be something other than “hit something with the same move over and over until it dies”, and it was kinda different but it was slow (for me). Cassie had low damage and wouldn’t attack often, so I found myself attacking in between moves of healing Cassie. So then I tried said method of hitting something with the same move over and over until it dies, and I discovered that was WAY FASTER than supporting Cassie.

I know I do it in the video but you don’t even need to perfect dodge everything and use Mega Rush, I was just doing that for style points. Literally all you need to not even need to glance in Cassie’s direction is 8 damage slingshot and one copy of slinger for pierce defense. Knight, Aggressor / Ante Up, and Slinger is all you need.

You don’t even need to SUPPORT Cassie at all, even though it’s the main point of the fight. You can just spam your 8 damage basic attack and literally IGNORE Cassie until Frostmaw dies.

There’s more flaws I could list, but this is the main one I wanted to draw attention to.
TLDR: You’re not supposed to brute force the Frostmaw fight but it’s actually the fastest way to beat said fight.

Frostmaw aside, I have many issues with Chapter 5 as a whole, and I personally think Chapter 5 needs a rewrite or just needs to be scrapped and replaced entirely.

If I said anything that was unclear let me know. This is my 3rd time rewriting this post because my Reddit app kept glitching and I wanna know if I left anything out on accident

A guide on how to beat Finn Mccool really damn fast (from someone who’s beaten him a hundred times)

Are you grinding for the 100 Kills of Finn Mcool flair? Are you tired of how long every single battle lasts? This is the guide for you.

NOTE: This is a guide for experienced players on how to beat Finn FAST, NOT how to beat Finn in general. This strategy needs you to be good at dodging his attacks PLUS good and consistent at Ante Up Powershot.

Fun Fact: Finn only attacks three times in this guide.

Deck is in second picture.

^ SIDE NOTE: Defend+ is optional. It’s a part of this semi-faster route I thought of where you purposefully get hit by the first part of Bat Combo while having a max HP of 10 to take 9 damage and have 1 HP left over for Mega Rush, instead of TPing to Mango Tree and getting hit by the swinging logs three times, TPing to pirate camp and all

STATS:

10 max HP, but you need 1 HP
Bare minimum of 20 SP
BP needed: 27 (23 if you remove the optional Defend+)

BEWARE: MULTIPLE ANTE UP POWERSHOTS

STRATEGY:

Turn 1: Use Call: Calypso and use Paintball Gun. Finn will use Bat Combo here. If you’re using my Defend+ strategy and have 10 max HP, get hit by the first bat and dodge the second. If you’re not, dodge both. Do note that if you are using the Defend+ strategy and Finn attacks Calypso with Bat Combo instead, you need to restart.

Landing your paintball gun does 6 damage. Then, Calypso will use Dual Flintlocks for 6 more damage.

Finn HP: 88

Turn 2: Use two Power Shots. This will deal 24 damage total. Calypso will follow up with Cutlass Combo, dealing 8 damage. Finn will use his first Baseball Shot variant where he tosses up the ball then immediately hits it.

Finn HP: 56

Turn 3: Two more power shots for again, 24 more damage. Calypso will heal herself with Battle Cry. Finn will now use his second Baseball Shot variant where he taps the ball with the bat twice before hitting it.

Finn HP: 32

Turn 4: Two more power shots. This time, Painted should have worn off, making you do 11 damage per power shot instead of 12.

This is close to the end now. Finn will use Flex before you can do your second power shot, giving himself the quick (?) status and the Fine status, alongside healing 2 HP. Finn will also call for help. Ignore the allies, none of them will get to move.

Calypso will use Dual Flintlocks again. If she hits Finn the battle has an extra action but if it’s just anyone else then it’s fine.

Finn HP: 12

Turn 5: Another Power Shot should put Finn at 1 HP exactly. On your next action, you should have 3 NRG saved up. Use the Windforce, it overrides Finn’s mobile and applies Slow to his allies. Finn will die but his allies will stand, each at 4 HP (unless Calypso shot one of them). Calypso will use Cutlass Combo, leaving two or one of Finn’s allies depending on if she shot Finn or not.

Turn 6: Power Shot the final / final two allies. They won’t get a chance to move unless you miss because of your two actions.

CONGRATS, you destroyed Finn in six turns. Finn did not get a chance to charge up, and his allies didn’t get a chance to use a single attack.

Sorry if this guide is unclear about anything. This is my first time writing a guide like this.

Killing Fraud Mccool the Stylish Way

Dodging Finn is pretty easy but the added pressure of immediate death makes it a little harder.

I’m trying to get the 100 Finns flair and I’m like 50-60+ down but got a little bored so now I’m trying out faster ways to kill him. The Mega Rush Strat is actually really good, it brought the fight’s time from 3:00 to 2:00. Medium risk high reward.

Used Calypso instead of Griefer because I believe Calypso has higher DPS and more importantly Griefer’s protect +2 HP would ruin my Mega Rush

cards: Mega Rush, Call: Calypso, Slingshot, Power Shot, Aggressor, Ante Up, Knight, Happy SP x2, SP saver, Slinger x2, Firecrackers

BP cost: 29

I REQUIRE MORE BATTLE!! TELL ME WHAT TO FIGHT

Let me know what I should fight in Block Tales Battle Simulator, I’m too goated for these frauds like Fraud Mccool and Fraudtred

if a fight’s probably impossible I’ll still try it and let you know how far I got

VERY IMPORTANT EDIT DO NOT SKIP:

This post got WAYYY too popular. I’m one man, I can’t do all of these LOL

I’ve already picked a handful I wanted to do and I’ve already done more than half of them, I’ll post the results in a video that I’ll get to work on soon.

*NOTE: if yours isn’t in the video even if I said “I’ll do this one” to it, I either didn’t want to do it later on or forgot lol

For now, suggestions are closed, sorry fellas.

also if I ever do another one of these in the future, no chapter 5 enemies until the game updates to Demo 5.

speaking of the game, if you want to try it out like me, the name is Block Tales Battle Simulator.

I’m the one answering your Prayer cards btw

Sometimes I’ll give you a full heal, others a bit of SP, and sometimes just make you go to sleep for fun lol

It’s kind of hard to tell from the image, but I defeated four Trotters at Level 1, no items and no NRG

This isn’t THAT impressive tho I’d say my win against 4 Fraud Mccools was way better. This is more of an endurance test to improve your dodging against Captain Trotter, because if you get hit it means death 50% of the time (at 10 HP)

This aside I heard you get a neat flair if you beat 100 Finn Mccools so since I’m already 31+ down I might as well go for 100

defeating four Fraud Mccools

uploaded as TikTok format because I posted it there first. if you can’t tell I tried censoring the part where he said the word but TikTok wouldn’t let me mute that specific part so I lowered that part’s volume and put a punch SFX over it (only thing that was short enough to fit)

game used to fight 4 of these guys is Block Tales Battle Simulator but it’s currently Demo 4 so there’s no Demo 5 enemies or cards

Finn is a fraud
