my dog is very sick and i don’t know what to do
her name is waffles, shes about 13 and she’s had teeth problems for a couple of years now. we should’ve taken her to the vet years ago but we never did (i am not an adult yet and i don’t have nearly enough money to help, so there’s nothing i could do about that).
she’s recently gotten a lot worse and we made an appointment about a month ago and the earliest she can get in is thursday (which is now in 4 days).
i can tell she hurts by the way she shakes, but the past few days i’ve realized she probably also has heart failure. she has these weird coughing fits, she breathes really fast, and she stumbles over when she walks.
i love her so much and i hate to see her suffering. she seems to feel a lot better when she takes medicine but forcing her to take it just for her to feel good for a couple of hours isn’t worth it for her quality of life.
does anyone think she will make it through her teeth being pulled? or even in good enough health to get it done? i think she can hang on till her appointment but it's awful watching her go through this. i am starting to think that it would be better just to put her down.
