Hi! Looking for some guidance and help regarding my infant. Her labs show an elevated PTH of 84.21 pg/mL and we are being referred to an endocrinologist which will take over a month to get into.

She was a premie, spent two weeks in the nicu, and is about 8 weeks old and just looking for some answers to some of her health issues.

They are concerned it could potentially be hyperparathyroidism. Curious if anyone has experience with this diagnoses in infants and if this diagnoses is a possibility with her elevated PTH.

Calcium is normal: 9.6 mg/dL

Also, could this cause bone weakness?
