What is the general preference on type of storage - is there a reason of choosing one over the other?
Storage v1: 400 storage capacity and adds +5 heat to base core
Storage v2: 1,600 storage capacity and adds +40 heat to the base core
4 storage v1 will give the same storage (400 x 4 = 1,600) and only add +20 heat to the base core, isn't that better than 1 v2 storage?
Though, 4 v1 storage means more real estate space ...

I'm having so much fun playing the game and so sad that I cannot play it whilst traveling due to no controller support. When at home, I play it by docking my Ally X and attaching a KBM, but do not have that luxury while on business travel.
PS: I am in no way a game dev myself so I have no clue how difficult or easy this is.. !!!

I have been playing with my first character from the time I purchased the game and on one world. Ever since the water update arrived I have been meaning to start over, new world. However, every time I take my character to the new world, all the quests are unlocked/completed, map is unlocked, however no bases or flame alters.
Basically what I want to do, is start a new world with either the same character or new character as I want to play the game again from the start and unlock things as I go to have the full experience with the latest update 8. I would like to try and use my old character, but if that breaks the game then I do not mind using a new character but I would like to be able to use my ghost glider from previous world (if that is possible).

I am facing a bit of a weird situation with my factory build, I have just started a new playthrough and building in the starter areas.
I usually like to include storages in my build for buffer, all previous play throughs I used a single storage in front of each machine (smelter, fabricator, furnace, etc.) so the build went something like ore ex. - storage - smelter - storage - fab - storage .... (so on and so forth).
In my latest playthrough I thought I would do things differently to see if betters the experience. So rather than putting a storage in front of the machine, I started putting them at the end of the line of machines for that specific type of component.
As an example, I have a row of 5 smelters (in line) and to the side I have 5 storages. There is one drone line connecting the output of all smelters to the first storage. The storage is connected in series so input in the first storage and output (pulling to next machine) is from the 5th.
The issue I have / observed is that when the component is required it is pulling from the storage, but only the first two or three machines (smelters in my example above) work to refill the storages, no matter how much demand is there. The 1st 3 machines will be running at 100% and average of 100%, and the last two will mostly be running currently at 0% and average of between 10 % - 25% I do not think I am getting the full value in this set up.
Is there a way to improve this?

Hi all, would like to know if you play the game using Flow Rates or play without giving Flow Rates any consideration...
So... I accidentally deleted my main world! Really a brain fog moment, rather than deleting the individual save file (I make multiple so that I can go back and few if I need to), I deleted the session!!!!
On the positive side, have started a fresh playthrough for update 1...
