Would you keep or remove the glass dresser tops in this kitchen design?
We’re finalising our kitchen design and can’t decide whether to keep the glass dresser tops on either side of the hood. There’s 520 mm of worktop space on each the side of the range. May be not so clear from AI rendering.
The kitchen will have:
- Cream shaker cabinets
- 1000mm range with plaster hood
- Marble splashback
- Dark island
Should we:
1. Keep the fluted glass dresser tops for a more bespoke, furniture-style look
2. Change them to solid doors for a cleaner, more timeless feel
3. Remove them entirely and leave just the hood with base cabinets below
I’ve attached the elevation and a photo of the actual room.
What would you choose and why? Looking for opinions from homeowners, designers, and anyone who’s lived with glass cabinets.
