Andy Burnham will be a Starmer 2.0 -- he's keeping Rachel Reeve's fiscal rules
atp there is literally nothing for the greens to gain by standing down, Andy Burnham has already abandoned every desirable policy that may have kept reform out.
This is why you shouldn't get your hopes up with Andy Burnham
The whole "was Akemura right?" debate is completely missing the point that Hokazono is trying to make with the entire manga
I think a lot of people in this community are really misunderstanding the point that Hokazono is trying to make with Akemura's character and the enchanted blades as a whole.
Akemura's actions are not and cannot be justified. That being said, this isn't what Hokazono is looking to discuss or debate with Kagurabachi. Instead, he's exploring the ideology behind Akemura's actions. And too many people are missing this.
An enchanted blades centric society is what Hokazono has been trying to explore since chapter 1, especially with Kunishige's character. Kunishige is written as a man who quite clearly regrets forging the enchanted blades, he feels so guilty that he creates a final enchanted blade that is primarily designed to destroy the other enchanted blades.
He clearly believes (at least right before he was murdered) that the enchanted blades straight up should not exist. And definitely not be used to rule society.
This is in stark contrast to Akemura. A man who believes that the enchanted blades can be and MUST be used to "destroy evil".
And it is this ideology which is taken to its absolute extreme which leads to a genocide.
And now when we look at the Kagurabachi story arcs, each one explores a different side of this ideology.
Sojo practically worshipping the blades, the Rakuzaichi exploring the selling of weapons and actual human trafficking, the sword bearer assassination arc explores the politics of the enchanted blades and how the Kamunabi has been in part run by a man who believes the enchanted blades should be used to rule Japan.
Now the seitei war arc is exploring why the enchanted blades may have ever had to exist in the first place. And moreover, the Mikaboshi explores the general concept of absolute power used for control, as their society is run by a royal family that uses powers similar to the enchanted blades.
And I think that its this debate that Hokazono focuses on, which is IF the enchanted blades should be used and/or exist and if anyone be allowed to rule a society with such overwhelming power.
Going back to Akemura... Hokazono presents Akemura doing a genocide not as the debate but an objective and historical fact. And the fact that the enchanted blades were used for a genocide is an argument AGAINST the existence of the enchanted blades.
Now once the Seitei War arc is over, we will see Akemura ruling over Japan via the Kamunabi. Here Hokazono will explore the true extent of what ruling society using enchanted blades will look like.
If I were to predict what happens next, we already know that the Shokoku had to overthrow the Mikaboshi in order to get peace. So I think we will get a parallel in modern day Japan, with Chihiro and the gang having to overthrow Akemura in order to defeat his extreme ideology.
After reading chapter 121, Akemura was right
>!is what i would say if I had a fucking lobotomy and sliced my eyes like Samura so I can't read the goddamn mang!<
Frame rate and visual are pretty good, I can't seem to get the gamepad to work though
