Question about the Osage (language)

I'm not from the US so no real knowledge about Native Americans. But I'm curious about the language and portrayal of the Osage in the series.

Apparently, these are actual Native American actors which is great (I grew up with Albanians or spray tanned Europeans acting as "Indians" so huuuuge improvement). But the language?

Is it a real language and if so, is it still spoken? Because whenever they talk in Osage, it's like stilted and in a way as if an absolutely foreign language is spoken. Or does the actual language sound like that?

I'm curious and I hope it's not a weird question

I saw two babywearers in the wild who passed fit check lol

It's never happened before. Babywearing is quite popular-ish where I live and I see many people babywearing okay-ish (like men wearing super low but otherwise ok) and always some kind of dangerous fits. I'm in Europe and I see lots of good carriers, but I also see amazon unregulated carriers with wild fits.

I'm not an educator or anything but I have learned so much on this sub amd I ALWAYS do internal fit checks 😅

However! Today I first saw a woman with a small baby in a low back carry (African way) and it passed fit check (I see many African women babywearing on their backs, but mostly older babies).

And I saw another woman with a stretchy wrap (99% of fit checks IRL and on here are "it needs to be tighter!!!) which was tight enough and passing TICKS.

Today, I'm proud of them :)

Just wanted to share, and maybe ask if anyone else does internal fit checks? 😅
