I started my maternity leave 6 weeks before my delivery. I have now exhausted all of PDL. My OB gave me an extension due to PPD and PPA and CFRA was automatically utilized. I was told that CFRA is not exclusive to baby bonding and can be used for a persons own medical condition. If I were to return back to work, I would have 31 days of CFRA left.
I am supposed to return to work in two weeks, but my PCP is now extending to me till the end of August. My therapist has diagnosed me with generalized anxiety and depression. My question is: is there any way I can preserve the remaining balance of my CFRA to use it for bonding? Hope this isn’t too confusing. Would really appreciate input. Thank you!
