I’m a fan of the New York Times games (ie wordle, connections) but a lot of them are behind a paywall, particularly the crossword (they changed the free mini crossword they had to be a paid feature which pisses me off) and the wordle and connections archive. Anyone know if there’s any way I can access the games for free? I really don’t want to buy a subscription just so I can play a goofy little game on my lunch break.
So I was pruning the dead branches (?) of this plant in my yard when i noticed the inner stems of some of them had a distinct red pigment!! It’s only in a select few dead stalks and not in any living parts. does anyone know what/why this is?
(Unsure about flair)
These are some bacteria swabs grown from soil samples and stained with methylene blue. 1000x magnification with oil submersion. Sorry about poor quality these were taken with my phone in the middle of a lab for my ecology class. I don’t know much about microbiology so I was wondering if anyone could help me identify what I have here
