Oasis Hub - Handmade, Makers & Craft fair

There is a request out for stall holders for a craft and makers market at Oasis hub on Newland:

https://oasischurchhull.churchsuite.com/events/gnjtsl21?fbclid=IwY2xjawTwQUJwZG9mBGV4dG4DYWVtAjExAHNydGMGYXBwX2lkDzQwOTk2MjYyMzA4NTYwOQABHoS9zE\_nQcYAeVjzgYx8TmHmZP0Y0GTEWWHFaGYyrqJHydQVAEK4R2BdvlHT\_aem\_CXRVfFPerSvfSeqDZlbJew

And I'm sure they'll appreciate potential buyers making a note of this event too :) Oasis have a lovely facility that does community charity so please support them if you can

Follow up to the post on the crime on Newland

I couldn't work out if I could add a picture in the previous thread, but some follow up on the series of burglaries that have happened on the Avenue.

As soon as the businesses in question went to the media something was done about it. Hopefully its the right guy!

Summer activities for families

I thought it might be nice to have a post that includes ideas for cheap activities for families to do during the summer holidays.

A couple of my own suggestions:

  1. Amazing Hull Tours (on facebook) are running a special offer on their Hull at War tour where a child can join free with each paying adult. £5 a ticket. They will have tours tomorrow and Thursday with this offer. They are also doing evening ghost walks.

  2. Skirlington market is running carboots on both Saturday and Sunday - good excuse to come buy cheap toys.

  3. Ferens art gallery still have their Moomin exhibit on

  4. Hull maritime museum will be opening with bookings needed for the time being. It is still free though

I'll edit to add more as they cone to mind, please everyone add your own below!

Big theatre shows in Hull still have tickets available!

Just wanted to do a little plug for our local theatres which have two big shows coming up this month that still have lots of tickets available

  1. Mean Girls at New Theatre - https://www.hulltheatres.co.uk/theatre-events/mean-girls

  2. Avenue Q at Truck Theatre - https://www.hulltruck.co.uk/whats-on/musicals/avenue-q/#buytickets

If you're in any way tempted to see them at some point I'd suggest doing it in Hull and supporting our local venues. Otherwise we lose them
