Bonkers? Wonderful? Both?

Bonkers? Wonderful? Both?

Definitely Maximalist. A relief after an endless parade of beige or white.

Not sure it's me.

Almost Disney in its construction, a modern folly? A little bit Hobbit home.

They are not afraid of colour, columns, crenellations, a turreted courtyard, and detailed woodwork.

Ohh faded Edwardian Mansion

Sorry report as did not use the best lisiting, this one has 33 photos

Going by the delightful name of Priest hill

13,000 sq ft 14 bedrooms, such beautiful ceilings, a bit gothic maybe for Edwardian delightfully old fashioned interior.

I feel this has been in one families hands quite some time.

You could film a miss Marple here.

Pool and tennis court abandoned.

I feel this maybe a project but I'm afraid someone will strip all the character out and at best have bare pastel rooms. Or worse greige and marble.

What have they done.

You can't get a snobbier old money address in Windsor. Directly on the great walk. A period property and they stripped all the period details out or did not bother adding them back. It looks like a new build inside. There are countless big boxy houses to the south of Windsor to do this too.

Okay there is a tiny bit of cornice in the living room, but everything else is a white and black cubes.

Unique house on stilts by the Thames

Modern house of unusual design, by the Thames with moorage for your Gin palace. Vary large rooms etc

Maybe a bit close to the flight path.

Not sure how I feel about it.

Live your regency fantasy

Large airy rooms, quite the warren of staircases and interlinked rooms.

Apart from the bathrooms it looks unmodernised.

Nice quiet back garden, is on a busy road road.

Proper folly, mini castle.

Have to be a real history buff for this. Bathroom on the ground floor, which is a pain for two of the bedrooms. Too pricey?

It is very romantic in a historic sort of a way.

Large coastal home with a watch tower.

Vibrant country home, large high ceilinged rooms.

That main bedroom is huge.

Lovely gardens,

Separate lots available to buy, including the walled veg garden plus a huge modern house, which itself is pretty nice

OMG. Arts and Crafts masterpiece.

Wow just wow.

The size of that window! The great room!

Mock Tudor but obviously done by a master early 20th century architect.

The house is stunning,

The gardens are not far behind.

Come on lottery I need you now!

Get 10,000 steps inside your own house, sprawling country home

New money home, but with fairly restrained neutral taste.

Lots of large rooms all linked together.

Lots of luxury finishes and crisp sharp walls.

Just don't forget something in another room as it's a long walk back.

Everything looks spic and Span no actual personality though, but really just needs some coloured paint and some more vibrant soft furnishings.

Lovely pool.

Fancy your own gothic folly

Victorian gatehouse massively rebuilt in the 1990s.

Close to the main road, but it's not too busy.

That courtyard is stunning.

Nice garden.

3000 sq ft lots of good sized rooms.

Not walkable to anywhere, but a 5 minute drive to Wilton.

Interesting decorating choices were made

Nice large house, pool etc.

They do like a bit of colour.

Swings inside?

Some interesting ethnic bits and bobs. That's quite some pergola/shade thing on the patio.

If those ceiling lights are genuine, then check to see if they are included as it might be worth knocking off £10,000 to £20,000 for them.

A modern house that is not a box!

I really like this.

Large high ceilings, interesting spaces, not too quirky.

It does feel monastic, but that's helped by the religious art.

In a posh quiet village, near Shaftesbury and Gillingham, no real bus service though.

Courtyard country home

This unusual,

Large house in 50 acres of parkland.

Really quite handsome.

The shock is that it was only built in 2020!

I assume it was a fundraiser to help pay for upkeep of capability brown landscape.

So while the house is freehold you have to pay for the grounds upkeep. Question how much is it?

It is nice though. If you have a good income it may suit people who want a garden but not actually look after it.

What a waste.

They spent all this money and did not get an architect.

The room are big at least, but they are too big for the ceiling height.

Such boring windows.

The proportions feel wrong.

The facade needs decoration, detail , it could be a dental centre.

There are so many nicer houses at this price point.

Hope you like beams

Heavily renovated extended house, on a 32 acre woodland plot.

Lots of oak beams, very impressive workmanship.

A modern house, but warm. Love the library and that pool room!

Fancy a turret?

Only built in 1922, renovated 20 years ago.

Very pretty house, and grounds with a pool

Library, study, loggia, it is quite rural but still not that far to larger settlements.

Will scratch an itch for refined country living without it being too big.

Handsome Terrace from 1594

Centre of Salisbury, near the Cathedral, not on a main road.

Nice big rooms, some wobbly looking plasterwork.

Grade 2 listed, so a plus or a minus on that one.

Same for the 'courtyard garden' but that might suit some people, does have off street parking though.

Good sq footage for the price.

Ooh glossy

Really lovely large renovated and well decorated house in the centre of Lymington.

The kitchen is bold. I never seen such a run of cabinets!

Exquisite courtyard, pool and lawn. Plenty of parking.

Very nicely done.

Stunning country home

A mere 11,500 sq ft.

Fairly traditional inside, plenty of colour.

All the essentials like a flower room and Library.

Two more cottages on the 42 acre plot.

Beautiful gardens, lakes, a walled garden, a greenhouse big enough for Kew gardens.

Might be a bit much just for me on my own though, but after a Euro win, who knows.
