Is LMU’s Data Science & Statistics master’s good for AI/ML careers?

I’m considering LMU Munich’s MS in Data Science & Statistics specialising in ML, but I’m unsure whether choosing this over a more traditional CS + AI master’s would hurt me long term.

My main concerns are:

  1. How strong/reputable is the program overall?
  2. How are employment outcomes after graduation, especially in tech?
  3. Can graduates realistically get ML Engineer / AI Engineer type roles, or is it more data analyst/statistics focused?
  4. Would a CS with AI specialization give significantly better opportunities?

I eventually want to do a PhD, but I also want to work in industry first and don’t want to limit job prospects by choosing the wrong degree. I would greatly appreciate honest opinions.

Is a CS (with AI) masters from UNSW worth it ?

I got accepted into the Master’s program in Computer Science with an AI specialisation. While I really like the university, I wish I had more time to confirm my offer since I’m still waiting to hear back from a few other universities. That said, I’ll most likely move forward with this option, but I needed a bit more conviction before making the final decision. I don’t plan on settling in Sydney long term, but I would definitely like to graduate with a job opportunity in hand. So I would appreciate it if someone could let me know how good the program is actually in terms of reputation, ROI etc.
