I'm a solo dev and I've spent the last few months building Geodyssey, a geography quiz app for iOS. I made it mostly for people like the ones in this sub, so your feedback would mean a lot to me.

There are four modes:

- Find the country — a name shows up, you tap it on the world map. No multiple choice.
- Find the capital — a country lights up, you pick its capital out of 3.
- Find the flag — same, with flags.
- Capital → country — the reverse. Easily the hardest one.

You can play the whole world or just one continent, so you can grind the region you keep getting wrong.

There's also an Adventure mode that walks you through the world continent by continent, a daily challenge, streaks, and a collection map that fills in as you master countries. Plus an Atlas where you can tap any country to see its capital, population, languages and currency.

194 countries, works fully offline, no account needed, 8 languages. Free with ads, optional Premium to remove them.

Any thoughts on the app would help me enormously — go easy on me though, it's my first one 🙂

Been working on this on and off for a few months. I like maps, but every geography quiz I downloaded was basically ads with a quiz bolted on, so I ended up making my own. It's called Geodyssey.

You place countries on a world map, guess flags and capitals, that kind of thing. The mode I actually like is Adventure, where you make your way across the world one continent at a time instead of just getting random questions.

Works offline, no sign-up, and it doesn't throw ads at you when you start. Free to play. There's a subscription if you want to kill the ads for good or just support it, but you really don't need it.

Still tweaking a lot, so if you try it, tell me what's annoying or what's missing. And I'm genuinely curious how people do, I thought I knew geography and then couldn't place half of Africa.
