Question on Flying Blue XP mechanics after the Bilt Platinum status match
I’m looking into the Bilt Platinum status match to Flying Blue Gold (the one requiring a 10k point transfer to Flying Blue) and have a question about how the program's backend handles the XP (Experience Points) ledger for this match.
For someone starting with little to no activity in their Flying Blue account:
When Bilt matches you to Flying Blue Gold, does Flying Blue actually credit your account with the baseline XP required to reach Gold (which normally takes 180 XP from scratch), OR do they just flip a software switch to give you Gold status while leaving your actual XP balance at zero?
Essentially, if you complete the match and then follow it up with subsequent XP-earning activities (like flights, partner activity, etc.), does that new XP stack on top of a baseline balance toward the next tier, or are you building your XP from a dead stop of zero?
If anyone who has done the Bilt Platinum match can share how their XP counter and status tracker looked immediately after the match hit their account, I would really appreciate the insight!
