WFH is not a replacement for family care.

I keep seeing post of people searching for remote jobs so they can watch their new born babies and/or children. Others stating they have a family situation that requires remote work. As someone with a newborn and works remote, you cannot watch children, or be a caregiver at any level of the word, AND hold a remote office job.

You fucks are the ones that have ruined WFH for the rest of us and making everyone return to office.

Treat your remote job as you’re going into the office, but enjoy the perks of actually not having to. Such as: not driving, keeping dogs out of crates, exercising any time of the day, sweat pants, etc… all the things except child or care giving.

Get childcare. Get an inhome nurse. Get hospice care.

Settle disagreement on 240 breaker to plug size.

Disclaimer: I’m not doing the work myself, just a disagreement.

Got a new EV. Discussing the charging options. One option installing breaker, wire, and 50amp plug and using portable 240 charger.

I said: you need the 50amp ev plug, 6 gauge wire, and 50amp breaker.

He said you want 60amp breaker for the 50amp ev plug.

I’ve always been under the impression you want your breaker to be equal or less the amp load so it “breaks” before anything gets above its rating.

He already had someone install it at his house so I want to believe him, but I need to be told the reasoning why he’s right and/or I’m wrong.

Met with the CFO and team I will be working with on Tuesday. Sent thank you email that day to recruiter and asked to pass my thanks along to the team

I got the reply the next morning that the team expect to get together to discuss and plans to get back to me mid next week.

I’m assuming they’re meeting with someone else. Is there anything I can or should do between now and then to make sure I don’t get hit with recency bias or anything else? Or is it best to remain silent on my end and hope?

I guess I didn’t get a reject email immediately after so that’s a good sign too right?
