Anyone mourning the old days?

My kids are college/post college. They don’t live at home but I see them fairly often especially one who lives closer to home. Lately I am so sad thinking about the fact that their childhood is over. I mean, it’s been over. But it’s like it hit me late or something. I was a stay at home mom for many years and we filled our weekends and especially our summers with day trips, mini getaway’s, trips for ice cream, etc. How is it over?
I work FT and have a fairly active social life and friend group but gosh it’s just been hard lately.
Thanks for commiserating with me!

7 months post op pain

Copying from my post op for most accurate info: “right shoulder arthroscopy with extensive intraarticular debridement to include biceps tenotomy, rotator cuff repair (near full thickness rear) and subacromial decompression”
As the title says, I am still in pain. My range of motion is not so bad but I am in chronic pain. Can’t do much. Certainly can’t “lift weights” as my discharge papers say I should do by 6 months 😂
I had PT for about 3 months, was discharged bc they could not do anything else. In between this time I had a cortisone shot (no help) and repeated an MRI (all good as per report). Dr has me at new PT, it’s been 7 weeks and I see dr next week. No change. Also trying sports massage. I am at the point where I am certain I’ll be in chronic pain for life.
If you’ve read this far maybe you have some ideas or have also taken a long time to heal. I should note that I am not perfect with my PT exercises because they cause pain (ie the pullies). But I do try when the pain is less. Thanks for any ideas.
