My granny came from Caracas and on the day of her engagement, this picture was taken. It’s one of the few pictures I have. It was most likely taken somewhere in Caracas or in the state of Falcón, near Punto Fijo, or (less likely) on Curação. It was the early 40s. Any ideas where this picture was taken? My grandmother was born in an area of Caracas called Antímano in 1920. At the time, it was still quite rural. At the time the picture was taken, she was probably living in the El Placer area and had been a student at the San José de Tarbes school. My grandfather was involved in the planning of an oil refinery near Punto Fijo, but this might have been later. My grandmother traveled regularly, frequently visiting the Mérida area.
