Where is it? My Dad's jigsaw from the 1980s

Another one of my Dad's old jigsaws. Looks like an old house in the English countryside?

Where in Michigan am I?

SOLVED - This photo was taken somewhere in Michigan in June 1999. I was living in Ypsilanti and working in Ann Arbor at the time, but I don't think it's in either of those cities. In my mind, I have a vague sense that I might have been in Saline, but I'm really not sure. Any thoughts?

Came across a really old photo someone took…. Found in hartville Ohio, not sure if that’s where it was taken or it but just for a potential clue
Perhaps i felt it was relevant. Anyone have any idea where this photo was taken?

Possibly South Wales, picture from around 1890-1920

Sorry not much to go on. This picture was found with some photos of a family member who was a teacher in London at the end of the 19th century but moved to Gloucestershire. I believe she died around 1920. There were also some postcards from a holiday in South Wales so it's just a guess it could be from there. The other pictures are of the children she taught and I believe taken in London so it could be from nearer there

Looking to find this coffee shop in Asian city (drawing included!)

in the past year or so my girlfriend and I have been to a specific coffee shop that we enjoyed, but for some reason neither of us remember its name or even the city it’s in, even though we remember its very distinct interior, and it’s infuriating! Its whole vibe is sleek, modern, “hip coffee shop“ interior.

This shop is probably in either:

Bangkok

Seoul

Kuala Lumpur

Tokyo

Description of the place:

upon entering you walk right up against the large, curved counter. To your left there’s windows looking out over the street (it’s a ground floor place), with window seats. There’s also what looks like a massive indoor planter that has either a large plant or even a medium-sized tree in it. There’s seats surrounding the planter as well.

The space it’s in feels a bit like an old repurposed warehouse or workshop. Once you walk past the counter, there’s actually a whole lower level you look out on. That lower level has more tables to sit at. It’s all open space, and it looks like there’s a staff-only room on a higher level to the back of the shop as well.

I feel like that lower level may have had a setup for a projector screen as well; and I think that later in the evening they transition into bar bites / events / restaurant. We were there during the daytime but I vaguely remember this from their menu.

Another striking design element was that throughout the shop they had these cords running, purely aesthetic. They’d run from the wall to the inside tree, wrap around a branch, then cross the whole room to the other side of the wall... it seemed a bit random but definitely something to recognize this shop by.

We’ve been so frustrated about this place escaping our memory. We’ve looked through old pictures, google maps pins, pulling up lists of hip coffee spots in those cities.. all to no avail. Would be amazing if someone could tell me the name / location. I am pretty certain it’s in either one of those cities, but other places we’ve recently visited are Bratislava, Vienna, and a bunch of smaller Japanese cities.

Drawing of the layout as I remember it is included!

Where is it? My Dad's jigsaw from the 1980s

Looks similar to some of the architecture around Bavaria, but I haven't had any luck finding it online

German Meme

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to find the location where this German meme was filmed. It’s a YouTube series, and the video must have been filmed somewhere between Barcelona and Aachen.

The guys apparently set off from Barcelona at night and arrived in Germany during the day. On the way there, I was able to identify a stopover near Lyon; they probably took the same route.

The time of day is around sunrise. In the second shot, the camera is filming toward the sunrise, and the highway is behind it—so it’s to the east of the person in the frame.

I haven’t found anything yet and hope someone can help me out.

Here’s the link to the full video

think this is somewhere in the Scottish Highlands, but I'm not sure exactly where

hi everyone! I came across this picture on pinterest and am really curious to know which landform is in the background. It looks like the Scottish Highlands to me, and being from Edinburgh, if it is close by, I'd love to go and see it in person! Anyone know? Many thanks!

where was the beach scene from "Wristcutters: A Love Story" filmed?

The best I got right now is Mile Rock Beach because of the walls with graffiti, but I'm unsure of it. I can't find any information on filming sites besides Los Angeles and some areas of Palmdale. Many nice sites in this film, I was also curious where the spiral staircase was from, so I added it on the third slide just incase.

edit: here's a better reference https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkvQOEJKHNk

So this is in Dörtyol, Türkiye. It was an Armenian orphanage. I am curious if the building is still standing. Is there anyway we can find out where it is? Maybe the mountain ranges can help?

Where was Stan Rogers' first album cover's photo taken?

Hello all,

This is a long shot, but something I've been trying to work out for the past few days is the location shown on cover for the first album by an artist I enjoy listening to by the name of Stan Rogers. The album is titled Fogarty's Cove, recorded in 1976 and released the following year, and largely features songs about the Canadian maritime provinces.

There are a few different versions of the cover, including initial release on vinyl, CD release, and a remastered version, which all show slightly different portions of the image. I've looked for a bit of time but really haven't made much progress. The best clues I can manage to find on the covers are an interesting streetlight base to the right of Stan, as well as a large brick building with what looks like quite a bunch of stairs leading up to it. However, I don't know what to make of these.

I also see this has been asked before on r/Stanrogers at https://www.reddit.com/comments/1hdhqwt/ without evident success.

Like I said, I think it's for sure a long shot, but figured I'd ask here.

Where was this photo used as an artwork for Track 24 by Nine Inch nails taken?

It was used as an artwork for Track 24 on the Ghosts III album by Nine Inch Nails. Rob Sheridan and photographer Phillip Graybill are credited. It's from 2008. I am trying to figure out if this photo was taken at a specific location and if someone can figure out where it is?

I have been trying to figure it out for a couple of years, to no avail however.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Can anyone find this hotel? Photos from 2016

Hii!! I am 16 and when i was 6 years old ive been to Singapore and Bali with my parents. I think this photo is from Bali but I couldnt match it to any hotels i could find. I wanted to take a look at the places i visited since my memory is not very good especially before i was 10. I remember there being a seperate building of sorts where we would have breakfast and most bowls and plates containing the foods (before we would take some to put in our plates) were black. it had a beach that wasnt very deep but i remember being stuck under the waves with my dad. Super close to the beach was also a pool (idk about anyothers). There was a sandy place where we had our dinner (it was a business trip), and there were people performing on the stage, which was pretty small. i also remember there being a place where u can sit above water with your feets touching the water to eat. There were lots of fish in the water and i remember giving them rice to eat fpr some reason (photo 2). As u can see in the 3rd pic the building with the rooms was white/creme with an orange/red roof. Thank u in advance! I hope i could give enough information
