Where is this film location?

This is a shot from the Danish movie Mænd og høns (Men and Chicken), which is set on a fictinonal island in the south of Denmark. The house most of the action takes place is actually an abandoned psychiatric hospital in Germany, but where is this road in reality? It could very well be a Danish isle, just not one I can find.

Notifications and Quick Settings suddenly changed.

I have a TCL phone with Android 16.

Until yesterday when swiping down from the notification bar I got a page with quick settings and below that all the notifications.

Today it suddenly changed. Now it's only quick settings. Instead of 3 pages it's just one - a couple big ones and a lot of small tiles. The notifications are gone.

At some point I found the notifications back. Turns out I can now swipe down from the left to get notifications and swipe down from the righthand side of the notification bar to get quick settings.

Is there any way for me to control this? Did I inadvertently change a setting? Or did Android decide it was time for a change? I believe I did install an update recently.

Emule closed and won't reopen.

Edit: I just installed 0.72a (by first removing the old version) and it appears to work again. It also remembered my list of files I am trying to download. Don't know if it will keep working of course

Today I installed Emule to download some files that were offered through Emule. The programme installed just fine, and there were some files waiting (They all said 0 sources so nothing actually downloaded).

when I came back to my computer, the program had shut down. I can't reopen it. I can go to "Emule" in my start menu but clicking on it doesn't do anything at all. The program is not even in my task manager.

Does anybody know what could be the reason, and how I can fix this? Thanks!

▲ 1 r/VPN

I need to use VPN in one window/browser only. And I don't know what I'm doing.

I have a VPN extension for my browser, so if certain content is blocked in my country I can set it to another country. So far so good. This is also the only thing I know about VPN - I pay a monthly fee and get to use the browser extension.

Now I need to connect my work laptop to my workplace when I work from home. That's a VPN connection apparently (but not through a browser extension). It allows me to use the dictionary (which the workplace paid for) and shared folders. The actual work I do is in the browser (we use a web based application).

But I need my browser VPN at the same time since I need to access some information that's not avialable in my country. So I need two browser windows, one connected to the office and the other to my own web based VPN.

Is this possible? I tried opening a private window but whenever I turn the VPN extension off in one, it will turn off in the other too.

Older children's books unavailable - is that just my country?

I am 56 years old but I enjoy reading children's books - mainly middle grade or young adult. Most of all the books I enjoyed when I was young. So that would be the classic children's books from the 1960s and 1970s, which everybody my age remembers.

I am not from an English speaking country but from the Netherlands. We have a very rich tradition in children's books here, so at least half the books I read as kid were not translations - and if they were translations it was often from Swedish or German. Some from English, but not that many.

But now it has become very difficult to even find those classic children's books! Some famous titles by well-known writers are just not there. I would of course get them from Amazon to read on my Kindle, but no. Or download them from Anna's or something - still no. Okay, get a printed book? Eh, no. I normally end up on boekwinkeltjes.nl, a site for second hand bookstores that sell old books online, since lots of very well known books have just vanished.

Is this happening because it's not English? I have similar issues, but not as bad, with albums from 1970s singer-songwriters. If it's in English you can find everything, if not good luck.

What are your experiences trying to get (digital or print) copies of similar English language books? Just as tedious, or can you basically still find everything?

How can I report a mod's behaviour?

I recently got an unfriendly message from a subreddit's mod, and if I remember correctly there was a button where I could report their message. But I can't find that back. Maybe I just hallucinated the button? Maybe it's gone if the sub mutes you? Or don't I know where to look?

How do I set my system font?

I used to have a SamsungA13, but now I switched to a TCL 50 Pro Nxtpaper, because I wanted a minijack hookup.

It's been a challenge to get everything back the way I want it, but most of it is working - except I have to look at a sans serif font all the time. I had a very elegant serif font on my Samsung, and I notice that this is very important for the experience I have with the phone. I would like to set my own font again.

But it looks like this option has been completely disabled for some reason. Is there a way to make this work? I'd love to hear!

The phone is a TCL 50 Pro Nxtpaper (T803D0 and it uses Android 15.

Clock widget freezing

On the home screen of my new phone I have a nice looking analog clock, but it doesn't always work properly.

In 2 days it has frozen twice. Once when I went to bed, and just now 2 hours ago without me doing anything special. It just freezes. The only way that I found to wake it up again is by restarting the phone.

The app was set to run in background and not save battery. I now have turned on background data and Unrestricted data usage, too, and I have turned Manage app if unused off. Should that do it, or are there other settings that might make my clock freeze?

The new phone is an LTC 50 Pro Nxtpaper and it has Android 15, if that helps.

Serif font

On my Samsung, I used a serif font for everything. Now I got a TCL 50 Pro Nxtpaper, which apparently does not allow changing fonts, and I am stuck with a sans serif font that I do not like.

I tried my Nova launcher, but that does not offer fonts. I also tried to install Go Launcher, but all that did was hijack my background image (I have not gotten in back, it's gone!) and nothing else. Is there a launcher or any way to get my system font back without rooting?

Gallery app?

I just got a new phone - a TCL 50 Pro Nxtpaper - to replace my Samsung A13. It's a steep learning curve and it looks like many of my favorite settings, apps and widgets are just not available anymore.

I would like to have my Gallery app back. You know, where you can see all your photos. It has gone. I have tried to install it from the Playstore twice but both times it was a third party app with ads everywhere. How do I get my normal Gallery back? Thanks!

I just recorded an entire night of my private life to a group of friends.

Now frankly I did nothing at all and none of my friends was actually there, so nothing happened, but I am not happy that this can happen at all, of course.

What happened is we had a group chat yesterday night. I was using the Discord app on Android. When we stopped I tried to hang up (red phone button). That did not work, the app just froze, so I hit the three lines and swiped Discord up, confident that I killed it.

This morning a friend sent me a whatsapp warning me that I still was online. So it turns out that Discord stays active in the background, and it will still record voice and camera even though the app is not active.

This is not what I want. I only ever use Discord for voice chats with this group of friends, but the rest of the week or month I don't use it at all, ever

I looked up what I could do, and the internet told me to go to my Android settings, go to apps < Discord > Mobile data and turn "use data in the background" OFF. So I did that.

And then I tried. Went to Discord, joined voice chat, swiped the app up, and well, it still remains active in the background!

Is there any way to really stop Discord when I close it? I know I have to hang up manually, but well that did not work yesterday because the app froze. I would like to be able to trust that Discord is OFF when I close it, and I don't want it running in the background. Ever. I hope somebody can help me!
