‘New’ Radiator
Just got a new radiator in my 23’ SC due to a crack and leaking coolant. I did not look at the radiator when I left the dealership, but after driving less than three miles back to my home I took a look at the grill to see how I would go about installing a mesh cover to prevent spending another 1700$ in a few years. When looking through the sizable gaps in the grill I looked at my ‘new’ radiator and it looks absolutely peppered by rocks already.
The entire process getting it replaced at the dealership was a disaster due to multiple reasons and my vehicle was there for four days. One of the reasons I was given for the delay was that the radiator they had in stock was broken and had to bring in a new one. The whole ordeal left a horrible taste in my mouth and seeing how my radiator looks after only several miles on regular paved city streets did nothing to help.
Long story to ask, should I inquire about the state of this radiator that was just replaced or are the large gaps in the grill really that big of an issue that my radiator really does look like this after only a few miles??
