Love the "no gossip" rule , unless it's about people you don't care about

Hey MOD i guess? You just proved my point ahahaha. You say "no gossip about real people," but then list multiple exceptions where you allowed it; Dedrik, Passu, Pema Wangchuk, even a school principal. So the rule isn't a rule, it's your personal judgment call.

Seems like the rule only applies when it's about certain people, especially the ones with money and power!!!! Where's the consistency?

Other country subs manage to handle public interest discussions without this level of control. So I'll ask plainly: WHAT’s THE POINT OF THIS COMMUNITY if we can't talk and expose elite monsters too?

Selective enforcement isn't moderation; it's CENSORSHIP. Either apply the rule equally, or admit it's about protecting certain names.

Are MODs gonna delete this thread too before more people see it? I’m curious again. Let’s see

👋Welcome to r/LocalsBhutan

Hey everyone!

This is a community for Bhutanese people who want to have honest, thoughtful conversations about anything. That includes subjects that can be difficult, controversial, or sometimes overlooked elsewhere.

You do **not** need to agree with the moderator team or with other members to take part here. Different viewpoints, questions, criticism, and respectful disagreement are welcome. We will not remove a post simply because it is unpopular, sensitive, or challenges a commonly held view.

At the same time, an open discussion space needs basic boundaries so people can participate safely. Please challenge ideas rather than attack people. Do not harass or threaten others, post private personal information, target individuals, spread hate, or use this community to promote violence or illegal activity.

For serious claims about people or local events, please share a reliable source where possible. If something is your personal experience or opinion, say so clearly. This helps everyone discuss the issue fairly and makes the community more useful. We're excited to have you join us!

What to Post

Post anything that you think the community would find interesting, helpful, or inspiring. Feel free to share your thoughts, photos, or questions about anything
