My lg tv app has finally been published

I wrote a tv app at the start of the year that I (obviously) believe the world needs. It was really easy to get it onto the Android TV and Amazon Fire app stores but LG and Samsung are much harder.

However finally it's on the LG app store.

The (free) app is called 'Real View' and the idea is that it let's you use your TV like a virtual window.

Right now it is mostly youtube streams but our independent streams are growing in number which is the long term plan.

Eventually we'll be able to charge organizations like care homes, waiting rooms etc. To have these on their walls. (They cant legally do that with You Tube).

So it's an Ambient TV App and something relaxing you can simply have on in the background. In many living rooms the tv is off most of the time and everyone is on their phones. I believe that Real View is the solution.

If you take a look - please let me know what you think.

Is it something you'd use?

TV as a Virtual Window

At the start of the year I built a TV app and recently managed to get it approved on the LG app store after already releasing it on Android TV and Amazon Fire TV.

The app turns a TV into a kind of virtual window using live video streams from different locations. At the moment it mainly uses YouTube streams, although more independent streams are gradually being added.

The idea behind it is ambient TV — something calm and relaxing that can run in the background rather than having the television switched off entirely.

I’m interested to know whether people would actually use something like this in their homes or other spaces. Any feedback would be useful.
