Reservations for Group Fitness

I find the reservation process and implementation for group fitness classes very frustrating. I go to some popular classes so I try to make reservations as soon as the window opens. Then you need to arrive more than five minutes before class begins to secure the spot. Recently I got to the studio with seven minutes to spare and someone had set herself up in my reserved spot. I told her I had reserved #28 and she said "Where were you?" I told her I just got there but I was on time. She said, "Ok, that's fine. I have a reservation. It's fine, I guess. I'll just move, fine." If it had been me I would have apologized and moved. I finally said, "I know it's fine because I have a reservation." I didn't like getting snippy with her, but if I tried to find another spot someone else might have come in and told me I was in the wrong spot. Also, people set themselves up in spots on the ends that aren't really spots, making it overcrowded.
