Came across a few of these Cannondale Super V bikes at the dump. Just wondering if there’s any niche spaces or collectors who seek these out. I took one just for the components (XTR drivetrain worth it alone) but wondering if there’s any niche others are worth saving to anyone.

I’ll state the obvious - the design is dated and it’s a lot of work to get these back into running shape. Not to mention everything I’ve seen about these Headshok forks is that they require special attention and parts to service. I love working on these types of bikes, but I’ve already got too many projects in the queue. These just look so cool and are a part of bike history. Feels like a shame to let them go to waste.

So are these worth anything to anyone beyond part outs? Are any sought out as complete bikes?

The bike in the first pic I kept for parts and it’s a gold mine. Cook bros cranks, Tri-align brakes, WI hubs and I think a syncros Ti post. It was clearly a very high end and well thought out build back in its day.

I’m gonna try and go back for the other ones tomorrow for parts, in particular that moto fork. I don’t have a use for the headshoks or frames, so if anyone wants them, send me a DM.

I’ve been eyeballing MS’s for a while and one just came up locally on FBMP. It’s a 2025 with 650b, Apex and the mechanical Spyre brakes. Listing says it’s only been ridden twice and it’s listed at $1,500. My guy says it’s a steal, but do yall think that still a good price?

I’m planning to use this to tool around on, some road and some light gravel. Hoping to get a 700c wheelset and carbon fork to go with it, possibly convert to 2x.

It’s a 56 and I’m 5’11 with a 30-32 inseam. My road bike is a 56, so I think this will fit but seems like a lot of people size down on these. Haven’t had a chance to stand over one in person yet.
