I started farming in Ibadan
Here is my first harvest in the last 3 years of farming culture in Ìbàdàn, Nigeria.
I can not but pat myself at the back that I did well despite various challenges along the way.
How it all started:
Bought 2 acres of land, and I have fenced it around. Made a water well, and I just found a reliable manager who manages the farmland.
The first year, I planted coconut and banana, the grass cutters dug the seeds and took them to another farmland. 😞 then I fenced it around.
In year two, I replanted more bananas and, unfortunately, had to fire the previous manager due to infidelity. I re-hired someone else to oversee.
Although I am not fully there yet, the plan is to scale and multiply to fulfill production and exports. All in all, it has been a journey, and I pray that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
