I have a 2 year old Trek Townie Go e-bike that’s a hand me down from my boyfriend that I use to commute (only 1 mile each way) and run errands with. Lately I’ve been going on more rides for fun and live near some excellent paved trails. On these fun rides I turn the bike on but the assist is off, I only turn it to the lowest level assist when going uphill or when in traffic with cars. The bike is about 60 lbs so riding it without assist is pretty challenging. I’m thinking of getting a regular mountain bike just to take on these long (15-40 mile) rides instead of putting the wear on the trek. If I get another bike it’d have to be used/ from Facebook since my budget is $200 but everything listed in my area is a huffy lol.
