Father Accused of Sexual Assault. Account permanently deactivated
I am reaching out to this subreddit seeking advice on behalf of my dad who is a driver. I am handling communication on his behalf. He was accused of sexually assaulting and attempting to drug a passenger which led to his account being permanently deactivated.
He unfortunately does not have a dash cam so he was unable to provide video evidence of the situation proving his innocence. He was aware that the app records audio but since the alleged assault took place last month and the app deletes audio recordings after one week, we were unable to pull anything from the app.
We have learned our lesson and will be installing a dash cam in his vehicle ASAP.
This is his primary source of income, so the deactivation significantly impacts his household. My dad has a long clean record (multiple years, no complaints) and a two decade record driving taxi and denies these allegations entirely.
Has anyone been through the appeal process for this? Or any advice on how to handle this situation? Is legal action realistic in this situation?
