I have at least 20 games in the app that I can go through.

I wear the Venu 3 and keep score on the watch during my game.

I have the Approach Z82 and the Approach R10.

All my clubs have the CT10 sensors.

And I have the Garmin Golf Membership.

Yet every time I try to look at golf stats in the app I get hit with

"Start tracking golf rounds with a compatible Garmin device to view your performance stats"

Is it just me?

I use protonmail - which means that with a single click I can create countless totally random aliases for any email newsletter or service I'm interested in where I don't want my personal email shared.

Yesterday I signed up to a friend's substack on longevity and health to support them. In doing so, I created a random and unique email address - something like "hissubstacktitle.rectify336@passmail.X" and then I got a popup on the site saying that it recognized me as a returning user and the platform had sent me a code to validate my return.

At first I chalked it up to lazy marketing text and it just needed to validate my email - which was totally fine and pretty standard for new signups.

But moments ago I received a "Welcome, and thanks for signing up!" message from some sub called Bradford Press - which I've never even heard of.

Being that this is my first time actually signing up for anything from Substack (I do read a few of them) I'm wondering if this is totally normal or if it's possible (but insanely unlikely) that someone else out there was issued the exact same randomly generated protonmail alias?

Our home Internet went out tonight and we weren't worried because we've set up Plex to work offline and watched plenty of times when the internet was down.

But tonight the TV app wanted us to log in to Plex.tv in order to access our media.

I'm a lifetime pass holder and now I'm giving a serious look at jellyfin. Which is really frustrating because I have plenty of family members I'll have to convert and we've just managed to get a fun newsletter automated for everyone.

I've been using Opus 4.8 to build out a few homelab projects and it's been terrific. I recently noticed a huge decline in accuracy as well as absolute lies and incorrect data that is easily enough verified and just figured out what was happening.

Today's latest example was claude telling me that it didn't know where a py file came from because it didn't write it and I must have added it without sharing the information. I knew immediately that the chat had someone been moved from 4.8 to 4.7. I toggled it back to 4.8 and told it to reconsider its last response and it confirmed that it did in fact write the file and it immediately solved the issue.

My question is if anyone else is noticing such a huge difference between these two models all of a sudden and if others are finding chats silently shifted from one model to another...

I thought it was just a frustrating fluke last time I played but this morning it happened again. I have a full game on my watch that completes where I save the round. And when I open the app, there is no round to be found at all.

This is really frustrating. I'm using Venu3 and did sync and refresh the apps.

Any ideas? Is this happening to anyone else?

As the home sys admin and Android phone users, I LOVE Immich and over the last few months we've managed to get her entire icloud and my google photos downloaded and processed. But there are a few things I'm unclear about and that's keeping her from being as excited as I am.

1. Her iPhone won't automatically backup to the server - I did read that this is an ios limitation (after I did all the setup) but I'm hopeful that somebody somewhere has figured something out seeing as Google Photos was able to always update in the background on her phone. There must be a way to enable this for her, yes? Otherwise I'm worried that this simply doesn't make sense for her if she's going to stay on an iPhone.
2. How do we get context search on mobile devices? I love the context search in the browser but noticed that it's not enabled or an option in the mobile app (at least that I can see.) Am I just missing something and there's a way to turn this on in the apps?

Thanks for any pointers - we're really hoping this is our long-term solution for images and sharing vs a big tech company.

I just picked this up yesterday and have been going through installs and updates and along the way I did sync to MS Arc mouse that will snap flat and works great for traveling.

But without a wireless keyboard I'm wondering how folks are dealing with typing... are you using voice to text or something else? Found a mobile keyboard that works?

What I really love about this is that I'll be traveling quite a bit in a few weeks with some long haul flights and I can use this to not only game a bit but also watch movies, etc. That of course had me wondering about quick texting via Signal or sending emails and if a keyboard or some other hack is worth checking out.

I'd love to hear what everyone's doing, or just not doing at all, with regard to typing and text that isn't just tapping on the screen.
