What do I need to connect Alesis Nitro Max to MacBook for Clone Hero and Melodics?

I’ve had the Alesis Nitro Max for a couple weeks now, and I’m really digging it. Since it came with a 30 day trial of Melodics, I would like to check that out, and I’ve been reading a lot about Clone Hero and would probably check that out too. My computer is a MacBook Pro with an M2 processor.

Do I just need a USB-B to USB-C cable and connect the module straight to my MacBook? Do I need an audio interface?

If I’m playing into Melodics or Clone Hero, do I plug my headphones into the drum module to hear the drums, or will I hear them through the computer? If it’s through the computer, do I need to be running a DAW with a VST, Garage Band, or something else?

How did I do setting it up? (Cable management and rug under the kick tower not done yet.)

Beginner here.

I just got an Alesis Nitro Max today. Besides the cable management and the rug under the kick tower, how did I do with the setup? It seems comfortable, but I don’t have any experience to gauge it on.

One of the big things I keep reading about is the stability. I actually have an idea/plan for that, which does not include a snare stand.

I’m open to all your thoughts and suggestions.

Beginner here.

I have these Monoprice powered speakers that I use with my computer. Would they work with the Nitro Max that I have on the way? The specs are in the second picture.

I’ve read that powered speakers/monitors are preferred/needed. I’ll probably use headphones most of the time, but it might be nice every now and then to use speakers.

Here’s my latest. It’s not done, but it’s come a long way in the last few days. A lot of people will think my taste in bands is pretty basic, but this is me. Maiden is missing, but I’ll get them on there. I’ll also figure out some things to add to make it not so bland, like some studs or spikes.
