Bought a pair of Crocs from a stall today. The vendor quoted me 500 baht, so after trying on a few sizes I handed her a 1,000 baht note (didn't have anything smaller). I waited for my change, it never came. When I asked, she said, "No, you gave me 500."

Then the guy she handed the money to backed her up, claiming he "saw the whole thing," except he was nowhere near us during the actual money handover. He ran the shop and she gave him the money.

Not even mad about the money just pissed they lied straight to my face and there was nothing I could do about it. Because if this was back home I clearly would have made a scene but it's not worth it. Left a bad taste in my mouth since I still have a few weeks here in Bkk
