Just curious to hear from those who made this jump? Should you cut the pills in half? Did it help drastically?

A good friend of mine has a drinking problem and has suffered from increasing mental health instability.

He saw a doctor and admitted his drinking problem so the doctor prescribed Wellbutrin because it’s not habit forming.

Unfortunately he’s either unwilling or unable to curb his drinking and the combo of drug with liquor seems to be driving him batshit. He doesn’t want to go back to the doctor after a week on the pills.

We are very old friends and he trusts my opinion. How would veterans of this suggest is the best way forward?
