Bad news in the short term for greens but good in the long term?

Bad news in the short term for greens but good in the long term?

At least if this poll ended up being correct it would keep reform out and burnham has said he would put PR in a future mandate which would benefit the greens in the long term.

Either way i hope burnham brings labour left and does well as it will snub out the right.

Andy Burnham supports PR but with a caveat

At around 15:00 minutes he says he supports change to PR but thinks it should be part of a manifesto thats put to the public at a general election

I think this makes sense as much as i don't want to see reform get in changing the system with out giving people a vote would be undemocratic.

Burnhams by election is arrogant and extremely risky.

Resigning your seat to let someone else stand in your seat comes off as arrogant and if it goes wrong and burnham loses and reform what happens next calls for a ge? Or a competition with rayner, streeting and millband that will go on for ages?

I pray burnham wins and brings the party back to the left as it is desperately needed but this whole saga is a complete embarrassment and shows gross incompetencey from everyone involved what are your thoughts?

I was initially attracted to the green party as disenfranchised labour voter who feels the party is going more to the right than the left and what attracted me was the fact they genuinely seem to decent and down to earth people however some of there policies i struggle to agree with such as :

Drugs policy

Leaving nato/ moving towards that

Getting rid of landlord stuff? As in whats the alternative every house owned by the state how would that work?

Nuclear disarmament

Then the is the anti semitic things that have been happening obviously these aren't unique to the green party and have happened in labour, torys and reform etc.

I hope this doesn't come across as a bashing post as this isn't the intention i would like to here what people think about these issues as a whole.
