I am the sad owner of a Silve 2017 Hyundai Elantra built at the Alabama plant suffering from the typical paint flaking from the front roof as well as the rain gutters adjacent to the rear window. Although the car is not white the paint loss pattern is identical to white cars for which Hyundai as extended warranty coverage. I am considering filing a defective product claim in small claims court. Wondering if anyone has pursued the issue in small claims and, if so, if they have any takeaways.
