bachelor of health science

I want to go to Latrobe for health science but it’s 2 hours away as I catch ptv

The degree at Latrobe is my favourite one- I’ve been looking at all the others across other universities but Latrobe seems most aligned for me but it’s super far and I don’t know if it’s worth the commute

Anyone have any feedback if this can be potentially viable via travel or with the degree (majoring in public health and health promotion) ? I don’t want to do it all online and I cannot figure out how I will make this work? 🥲

Thank you

health science

Hi people!

I am currently in an allied health degree at another university but want to transfer into the bachelors of health science.

I want to major in public health and health promotion so was also considering Deakin but it is further away so am curious if anybody here can speak about if the Swinburne health science degree is worth doing?
Is the teaching, placement opportunities (I’ve seen it can be project based which sounds interesting) & student support good at this university and in the degree?!

Thank you

Bachelor of Public Health & Health Promotion

I am looking to possibly transfer to Deakin to do the bachelor in Public Health & Health Promotion but am curious on any feedback to do with this degree as whilst I love my current degree (3-4years in 🥲), the placements are very long & none currently are offering me opportunities in areas of work I want, so I don’t know if it is worth just pursuing a degree that will give me those placement opportunities & possibly more skills & knowledge to step into the roles I want

- Do placements get sourced for you, has there been any challenges with placement sourcing?
- How is the overall content for the degree? Is it difficult? I am awful with maths so am worried about some of the units. My main interest is in women’s health so am hoping I’ll get many opportunities to explore this throughout the degree
- How are the lecturers?! I’m hoping supportive lol

Thank you for any insight !!!

when to contact IBD team

Heyaaa

Bit of curious question but I have suspected IBD & am under the IBD clinic- they told my doctor & myself to contact if things get worse, I know I was told by GI that if I have any ASUC symptoms to go ED especially as I have apparently fit into some of the criteria for it in the past months but not currently

In the past week I’ve had non stop soft stools, I’m on 10days of 3x a day of metronidazole (9th day now) prescribed by GI but even before that I’ve had non stop on and off issues with it this month & a past history (within this flare)- some which seem to be hormonal or pms related but regardless should I or should I not get doctor to update them info about this or they don’t need to know as the concerning past symptoms I’ve had aren’t happening eg. back to 6x+ or pure liquid

Won’t see them until end of next month as I’m supposed to get a scope anytime before that , although doubt it with all the issues I’m having with the hospital is so it will probably get pushed into July the appointment

Don’t know if it’s a silly question but I guess I don’t know what the GI team need to know or not know

Thank you
